Raised in Rothesay, New Brunswick, she moved to Nova Scotia in 1999 to pursue higher education at Saint Mary's University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours. Since 2014, Sarah has worked as an audiologist, gaining valuable experience in various roles across private, public, and manufacturing sectors, providing care for both adults and children.

Sarah now resides in Bedford, Nova Scotia, with her husband and two energetic toddlers. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, hiking, practicing yoga, reading, star gazing, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
