Gillian Bonang

Doctor of Audiology

Gillian Bonang, Doctor of Audiology, is a proud Dartmouth-born audiologist who has been delivering exceptional hearing health care in her hometown for more than 17 years.

As a bilingual audiologist, Gillian is passionate about supporting both her French- and English-speaking patients throughout their hearing journey, with a particular focus on rehabilitation and hearing aid solutions. She has demonstrated longstanding dedication to serving Veterans Affairs Canada and Workers’ Compensation Board clients, ensuring they receive thorough and personalized care.

Committed to the advancement of her profession, Gillian is actively involved in national and regional audiology professional development initiatives. She is also a mentor to Audiology students from her alma mater, Dalhousie University, where she contributes to shaping the next generation of hearing-health professionals.

Outside the clinic, Gillian is a devoted wife to her musician husband and a proud sports mom to her children- cheering them on from the sidelines whenever she can.

Aimee Allen

Audiologist

Aimee completed her Bachelor of Science at Mount Allison University and her Master of Science in Audiology at Dalhousie University in 2008. She began her career in Thunder Bay, Ontario, before returning home to Nova Scotia to continue her work as a Clinical and Dispensing Audiologist. Aimee has been serving the Dartmouth community for more than 15 years and is dedicated to supporting patients throughout their journey to better hearing, including assisting with Workers’ Compensation and Veterans Affairs Canada appeals.

Outside of work, Aimee enjoys traveling, skiing, hiking, cooking, and gardening with her husband, their three children, and the family dog.

Wayne Dorey

Hearing Aid Technician

Wayne was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and has dedicated his life to helping people with hearing loss. With over 45 years in the hearing aid industry, he has developed extensive expertise in the field. He studied electronics at the Nova Scotia Institute of Technology and furthered his training in hearing aid technology at the Hearing Society in the United States. He also spent ten years working at APSEA, supporting individuals with hearing challenges.

In his spare time, Wayne enjoys playing guitar with his band, embracing his passion for music.

Anna Leggat

Clinic Administrator

Anna, a lifelong Dartmouth resident, has spent over 21 years as an administrator in the audiology field, gaining a wealth of knowledge along the way. She has a passion for helping others and believes that laughter is essential—life is simply too short not to enjoy it.

In her spare time, Anna finds joy in gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and cats, and indulging in a little shopping. She also cherishes quiet moments by the waterfront, sipping tea with her husband, Normand. Family is at the heart of her life, and whenever possible, she and Normand travel to Montreal to visit his loved ones.
